Scholarship

  • "All of my sisters love me for who I am, it is certianly a home away from home.  I have 50 sisters who I know will always be there no matter what." -Andrea

In Sigma Sigma Sigma,  part of mission is to broaden the intellectual life of our members. To help the chapter achieve its best academically, we have a comprehensive program that guides our members through their college years.
We provide many supports to ensure the academic success of our members. Our chapter has designated study hours to help members study.  This helps members hone their study skills and provide them resources to assist them.
With members of all different majors, there is always someone to help you navigate through your academic program. Sisters often arrange to take classes together, which is a great way to have a study buddy. You will often find sisters heading off to the library together to do research or hit the books.

    Academic Requirements

Each collegiate member shall have a semester and cumulative scholastic average of at least a 2.5 for each grading period. Any member falling to attain the minimum GPA for the previous semester shall participate in a study program outlined by the Education Chair. We do have weekly study hours that are mandatory. We understand that you are here for college and we want the best GPA as possible.

    Academic Incentives

The National Sorority recognizes colonies and chapters for their academic achievement through the annual and triennial awards program. Individual sisters who achieve a 4.0 for two consecutive semesters are rewarded with a pearl dangle for their badge.  Other scholarship incentives are available at the local collegiate level.

"Sigma rocks because of all the women who make you feel loved, the opportunities to succeed, having a family away from home is needed, and having women there to hang out with that see you laugh and cry only strengthens your bond." - Emily
